A new brow bar has opened in Newcastle upon Tyne inspired by its owner's passion for David Bowie.

Former dental nurse Emily Rogers has opened Bowie's Brow Bar in Denton Park Shopping Centre, offering Microblading semi-permanent eyebrow treatments in addition to brow shaping, waxing and henna brow tinting.

As well as taking its name from Emily's music hero, the brow bar is decorated with Bowie memorabilia. She has also installed range of COVID-19 secure measures including regular cleaning, use of hand gel, and the use of screens, masks and gloves.

The brow bar is proving popular amongst clients in their 40s and 50s who often bring in Bowie memorabilia to add to the salon's décor collection, along with a rapidly growing younger male and female clientele.

Commenting on the launch of Bowie's Brow Bar, owner Emily Rogers says:

"I had visited lots of other brow studios and they were all the same with boring pink colours and flowers on the wall. I wanted to be different and include part of me and my love for David Bowie's creative and inimitable style into the practice.

"I feel so proud of Bowie's Brow Bar and love being able to talk about how it's a unique place where we can all be heroes!

"It's a safe and friendly place for everyone to find their personal style and build their confidence by permanently improving the shape, thickness, and appearance of their natural eyebrows."
